Cranbury is one of Norwalk’s most picturesque neighborhoods, stretching north to Wilton from the Merrit parkway, and sharing the Partick Nature preserve with Westport with Route 7 serving as the boundary to Silvermine. It is home to the Gallaher Mansion and Cranbury Park. The secret to Cranbury is that it raises above the Norwalk River Valley and were it not for the heavy tree canopy, you can see the Long Island Sound at a distance, at least from Cranbury park. Originally this was once farmland, and early Norwalk settlers moved northward to escape the industrialization that was building in South Norwalk. agricultural community dating back to colonial times, Historic farmhouses and stone walls still contribute to that rurual landscape, but Crancury has developed into a modern suburban community.

Parking Information
- Like most of Norwalk parks, non-residents have to pay an hourly parking fee seasonally between May 15 to October 15.
- For Norwalk Residents, whose vehicle is registered with teh town, the parking is free.
